What’s Happening at ALL

In a world where digital skills and digital access are needed to get an education, invest in skills training, apply for jobs, access unemployment benefits, and more – digital equity is absolutely essential. We have to make sure that everyone--no matter where they live--can fully participate in our society, democracy, and economy. The bipartisan Digital Equity Act would secure a landmark investment to help make this a reality. #digitalequalitynow Make time to read! 20 minutes a day. ALL summer, #ALLreads Last week, Senators Murray (D-WA) and Portman (R-OH) introduced to Congress the Digital Equity Act of 2021, a bill that promotes a five-year federal investment in digital equity. The bill is cosponsored by the National Coalition for Literacy, of which our major funder, Proliteracy, is a member. Arbuckle Literacy Leadership 's summer reading challenge is 20 minutes a day all summer.... & both our regional libraries have reading challenges (adults and kids) for prizes too! To top that off....kiddos 6th grade age and under can sign up for book it with Pizza Hut. OSDH Deploys Mobile Wellness Units Statewide ALL is so thankful for our supporters, especially @maureeturnerok and Sarah Howell from @proliteracy. Their encouraging remarks to our graduates, adult learners and their families, and their support for our programs is so encouraging. Congratulations again to all of the graduates and outstanding learners and volunteers. To our speakers, our members, volunteers and the community that supports us all-- we have come too far to turn around now! HEY YALL! This summer UCSO and MSC are partnering to provide a free STEM Camp for upcoming 8th & 9th graders. They will provide snacks & lunch and even the camp includes a trip to the Perot Museum in Dallas. Fun stuff! Don't forget! Our graduation and appreciation celebration will begin at 6 p.m. -- and we will be streaming on Facebook LIVE!!
